The Rain Show Nairobi Debut!
After enchanting audiences across Kenya, The Rain Show finally arrived in Nairobi on Sunday, 1st June at 3pm—and what a magical afternoon it was! Families and young audiences embarked on a thrilling global journey in search of rain, brought to life through captivating performances by Baraka Opera Kenya (BOK). This interactive concert blended children’s songs, world music, and opera, creating a vibrant experience that had everyone singing, dancing, and laughing along.
As part of BOK’s School Concerts, The Rain Show breaks new ground by taking professional live performances directly to young audiences. The initiative aims to spark curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love for the arts in Kenya’s youth, paving the way for a brighter cultural future.
The show featured BOK’s finest talents, including Mariah Gichu, Namrata Shah, Patrick Alovi and Yovan Barkisoy.
With flying kikoys, playful bubbles, and joyful melodies, the performers created an unforgettable spectacle that left children (and adults!) mesmerized.
A Mission to Inspire
BOK’s vision is to expand this program nationwide, ensuring more children experience the magic of live music. The Rain Show proved that art has the power to educate, entertain, and inspire—one performance at a time.
